Eagle Plant Celebrates 7th Employee Owned Anniversary!

Eagle Plant recently celebrated our 7th anniversary of becoming an Employee Owned business!

We spoke to our founder, Mr. Michael Grimoldby about the process and asked his thoughts:

For many, it may be hard to believe that Eagle Plant has been employee owned since April 2016.

I announced my wish for Eagle Plant to become employee owned in early 2015 after taking advice from specialist advisors on the subject. I was also very fortunate to be introduced to several employee-owned companies who provided me with valuable practical advice based on their journey to employee ownership.

The process took over nine months to complete, this included meetings at our depots, forming a small buyout group, taking advice and appointing the Trustees, whose job it is to protect the interests of all.

I am particularly indebted to our Chairman of Trustees, Mr John Pass, who has introduced and maintained the very best in Employee Ownership.

Personally, I am really pleased with the way our move to EO has gone. We have preserved our culture, enhanced our reputation with others and continued our strive for excellence in the relationships we have with all our customers and suppliers.

I am sure we can look to the future secure in the knowledge that our culture and independence will continue and our commitment to delivering our promises will thrive.
