Eagle Plant Say Goodbye To Last Land Rover!

Many will have mixed feelings about saying goodbye to the last of (what was once) an extensive fleet of Land Rover vehicles.

The oldest Land Rover we had was a SWB hard top with registration number HOD 8 E, and it was in regular use well into the 1980’s. There was then a spell when there were no Land Rovers, but in the early 1990’s they came back with force!

Eagle Plant opted mainly for SWB hard tops, but there were also a number of LWB pick ups and hard tops as well – and they would rarely let you down, which is something of an achievement with the workload they were often required to undertake (and were well designed for).

Our last Land Rover in the fleet, shown in the picture reached over 133,000 miles before it was recently sold. It spent most of its life with Eagle Plant at our Paulton Depot, covering Bristol, Avon and the surrounding areas.

In recent years, due to the Land Rover Company ceasing production of the models we had used so extensively, we have moved to Ford Rangers and other similar types of vehicle for our operations.

Ensuring that we keep a reliable fleet helps enable us to Deliver our Promises!
