We are hiring at Chard and looking for an HGV Driver – could this be you?
Eagle Plant are an Employee Owned Business – meaning everyone who works for us is a part owner (“Co-owner”) of the business^ whilst they remain employed by Wessex Eagle Limited. The financial interests of the employees are held in Trust and managed by the Trustee Board, two of which are elected Co-owners.

After the qualifying period you gain access to all benefits of being a Co-Owner, such as profit share payouts twice a year* and you may wish to take part in our Employee Council, held four times a year and has an elected representative (Councillor) from each depot as member on the Council.

^After qualifying period of employment. *Profit Share payments are made from any available funds, after business reinvestment and other costs are accounted for. 

 

We are looking for a HGV Driver for our Chard Branch in Somerset. This is a rare opportunity to join an Employee Owned business and it doesn’t come along often! Grab the chance now and apply to work for a business which has been trading 50 years and been Employee owned for 10 years!

If you have a Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s Licence and hold a CPC and you would like to drive for an exciting and busy Plant & Tool hire company, then we want to hear from you!

The Role:
Your job will involve working with the Chard depot manager and other team members, to deliver and collect both large and small Plant Hire Equipment and other Machinery.

A Class 1 or Class 2 License with CPC is required, and experience in the Plant Hire industry would be an advantage, although full training is provided from day one.

Key Responsibilites:
· Delivering and collecting our own Plant and Machinery from customer sites.
· Transporting customers’ own machines safely and efficiently.
· Ensuring all loads are secured and handled in line with safety standards.
· Carrying out daily routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues, ensuring your paperwork and digital Driver and Employee Apps are used and filled in as appropriate.

· You will also want to provide a friendly, professional service to our customers and colleagues.
