Eagle Plant have an exciting vacancy for an Engineer to join the busy team at our Redruth branch, near Bissoe.

Title: Engineer/Fitter
Hours: 08.00 to 16.30 – standard hours per week will be 40, but may vary due to season or workload.

Accountable To: Tony Gordon, Branch Manager – Wessex Eagle Ltd

Potential Start Date: 03/01/2023

Skilled or semi-skilled plant/agricultural engineer required to work alongside time served engineer to inspect, service, diagnose, repair and maintain service records of our modern plant fleet. Varied role which is very reactive to customer demands to ensure the smooth running of the hire fleet.

• • Servicing and repairing plant machinery ensuring manufactures service intervals are followed
• • Regularly inspecting engines, gearboxes and hydraulics
• • Identifying faults and repairing or replacing faulty parts
• • Using hand and power tools and specialist equipment

The ideal candidate will need the ability to work well under pressure and problem solve, a good knowledge of Cornwall would be ideal as the role does involve route planning at times.
